The library is functioning well in the new space.

Patrons understand that we are small but we are

still here.  New books include: Explosive Eighteen

by Janet Evanovich; Hotel Vendome by Danielle

Steel; The Litigators by James Patterson; V is for

Vengeance by Sue Grafton; Max on Life by Max

Lucado; and the Drop by Michael Connelly.  Two

new DVDs include How to Train Your Dragon and

Legend of the Bone Knapper Dragon.  We are

starting to plan our Summer Program.

Our Fall River Library has been a busy place this

fall, as we had to move our library to the back

room at City Hall.  It had been up front for many

years.  Our board members and some husbands

jumped right in and accomplished the task.  We

weeded books and they were donated to Fre-

donia Regional Hospital Auxiliary for a book

sale.  They use these events to help raise

money to purchase equipment for the hospital.

We are sorry we couldn’t have the summer

program due to the upset at the library, but are

planning to have one next summer.  We had

checked our over three hundred books from

April 1st to August 31st, and issued eleven new

library cards.  We appreciate all the patrons who

stood beside us, and their support.  Yes, our

library is small, but we are still here in Fall River

for the people.

Changes at Our Library

April 8th, 2011

April 2011

The Fall River Library Board has been very busy on sorting books. We have had quite a bit of illness. Venita Elrod has retired from the Library, So we have asked Frankie Cook to replace her and she accepted. Sherry Evans was elected to be Chairman of the Board, Jeanna Culbertson is Treasurer and Wilma Graves is now the Secretary.

We are getting ready for our Summer Program. We have chosen the country of Mexico and hope to have a good time with the kids. We have a nice Library and we will have an open house May 28 from 2pm until 5pm. Also we will be open for the Fall River Alumni that day for viewing the Class Pictures and Trophies.

Some of The Friends of the Library have donated books and Childrens’ DVDs. This helps so much.

Thanks,

Fall River Library Board
